I had brought this up a few months ago on this list. BTS replied that
if he wanted to loose money he would do some! Although there were many
types of streamlined passenger trucks, I would think a couple of the
most popular styles would be great to have since we certainly are
lacking in that department.

For quite some time I have been running my American Models streamlined
plain sided cars with several types of trucks--2 cars with AM plastic
trucks, 2 with Budd Buddy's. The last two with some little known trucks
sold once by Ed Loizeaux himself under a brand name that escapes me
right now. Anyway Ed's trucks were the only ones that used straight
axles (with the Ace type brass bearings) with the other two using needle
point axles. The rolling qualities of all three are nearly equal. My
fear is, because I have extra weight in these cars that the plastic
bearing surfaces on the side frames will wear down making them
undependable. A HO friend had this happen to him with nearly his entire
train.

Maybe this is a project that Jim King and his rotating roller bearings
wants to take up and make some money at!
