I used chalk and oils. I painted the model with Scalecoat. After a
couple of hours in the oven I decaled the model and over sprayed
clear. I make up a clear with gloss and flat, more gloss than flat
then a reducer. After I clear coat the model I bake it for an hour and
set aside for about a month before I weather it and then I put the
last coat on about a week after that. I buy chalks at my favorite art
supply store and use a file to produce what powder I need. I use
Grumbacher oils. Any artist oil paint will work. I "thin" it with
mineral spirits. On this model I used a "wet" brush technique and
dusted with the chalks then applied a clear flat
