I thought about this for a while, what predates the S Gaugian, and I believe
GarGraves is the oldest continual supplier in S. I can't think of any other
product available without interruption for as long. Northeastern Scale Models
has also been around a long time but no longer makes anything S specific.

I own one pre Titman/Collins issue of the Herald. In that
particular

issue there was a search going on to find past/defunct manufacturers way

back then, similar to what Tom is doing. This issue was mimeographed,

corner stapled and without artwork or photos on colored paper. Even as

crude as it was it was better than the S Gaugian at the time. I think

Don Heimberger and I are the same age, so if my memory is correct I was

in the 5th or 6th grade at that time. Now that I think of it, the S

Gaugian might be the oldest continual 'supplier' in our scale, which is

quite an accomplishment considering all the past folks we're talking

about--Stewart, Enhorning, Nixon, Kinsman, AF!
