No. Loksound includes a speaker. I am not sure what size it is
since I do not use Loksound decoders.

Yes because the BASS reflex speaker is the best speaker (my opinion
of course) right now that will fit in the narrow hood of the AM
GP9s, etc.

Yes, Soundtraxx decoders need separate speakers. The BASS
reflex speaker has its own enclosure built in (another advantage!).
There are, of course, other speakers on the market and most of these
will require that you build an enclosure. Unless you really like
this sort of modeling (building speaker enclosures), I suggest you
skip to the chase and get a speaker with a pre-built enclosure.

Go to my message at 52450 to see how a BASS reflex speaker fits in a
GP9. My guess, though I do not actually know, is that the BASS
reflex speaker will fit in all AM hood unit engines. However, you
have to be careful because AM models (at least the ones I have seen)
have very high gear towers which can hamper speaker installation.
