I attended S Fest but due to recent health issues I was not involved with the
planning or execution. It seemed to all go quite well despite the unexpected
hospitalization of our club president & Fest chairman the night before it was
to start. The 2 or so hours I spent there on Friday were very pleasant. I had
the chance to visit with many old friends (maybe I should say long time
friends!) although I must admit I didn't spend much money. Saturday my wife Pat
& I, together with Roger & Helen Shimon, had a delightful time doing the boat
ride & Sprecher Brewery tour. The tour was sold out & the people on it were
really a fun group. One fellow even reminded me about events at the very first
S Fest and the famous Green Gravy!
Pat's brother & wife were the subjects of a surprise 45th wedding anniversary
celebration on Saturday night so we were unable to attend the S Fest banquet,
one of few, if any, we have missed.
And that's my S Fest report.

1) How come very little was said about the Fall S Fest?
2) How come nothing has been said about the Southern Waffle side boxcar, they
are fantastic....ifn ya didn't order one or two ya better be gettin your name
on a list somewhere for the next bunch....these are beautiful cars..... Jim has
done himself proud!!!!
