All right now all we need is 1/64 brown glass tube or plastic rod or both, you
could chuck some of the rod in a lathe and turn a neck every now and then.
If you are needing piles of this stuff, you could get some Castolite resin and
crumple up some aluminum foil and pull it back to a flat sheet and make a
sunken area that would have some many facited surfaces and pour the resin in
and when set pull off the foil...and if you wanted broken sheet, take some
resin and screet it off real thin on say a sheet of glass and let it set and
then break that up to put on and around your piles of glass...
You could also check some of the party supplies and look at some of the packs
of confetti and get some with mirror finish and mix in your resin to make it
look like there is some mirror glass down in the pile.
Or since ya got cats and mice would not be a problem, how about potato flakes
piled up..
