The doorbell rang.  The UPS guy was smiling.  "It's from SHS," he said,
knowing full well the box probably had little wheels in it.  Turned out to
be the new covered hopper with square hatch covers.  In NYC paint no less.
What more could I ask for?  Thompson does it right, I thought.  Upon
inspection, the model was very nice.  Normal for SHS, but very nice compared
to everything else on Planet Earth.  Or something like that.

Then I got curious.  Do those hatch covers open?  Only one way to find out.
Yep, they do open and.......HOLY SMOKES........there are internal braces
quite evident when looking in with a flashlight.  Actually, direct sunlight
works quite well also.  Yowser, interesting braces on the inside of a
covered hopper.  And they can actually be seen if'n you open the hatch and
look at just the right angle.

What will SHS think of next?  Maybe a hidden load of broken glass?
