Bob, and Talmadge, QSI is the outfit that does the sound systems for Proto
2000, Atlas, and some of the Broadway stuff in HO, (both dismal.....er diesel
and steam). Loadable sound files and even working on a mod (if not already
out) to allow you to load your own sounds.

More sounds are on the way for the Tsu's, and if you have good sound
recordings of a particular make of loco they will use them to produce decoders,
 just
send them in. I do know that there was sounds for FM's and early GE's that
they had, and I'm sure they are working on. Files available are listed here:

Rick, Tell us about the QSI sytem, I have a few Tsunami units, I've
heard the Digitrax soundbug, have heard on this list about the loksound
but I know nothing about the QSI. Seems as though a friend who now
works for Digitax demonstrated a sound system in a HO Lionel gas turbine
a few years ago, that was excellent and I thought he said it was from
QSI. I would love to have that system in my turbines.

Rick;
Tsunami may sound the best but the limits are very high. No Baldwin,
Lima, FM, Etc diesels. No modifying the sounds to model a specific
unit etc. I never heard a QSI. So if you happen to model a
locomotive which Sountraxx has deemed to provide the sound for - good
for you. BUT, for the rest of us -- thanks but no thanks. Anyone
else make sound decoders???
