No matter who you buy something from using your credit card, they are charge a
fee for processing your payment.  All PalPal has done is make the process
available to everyone, and open for all to see.  Using PayPal I can purchase
and sell to anyone in the world for a small fee.  I just purchased some items
from a gentleman from Oz.  He didn't have Paypal or take credit cards.  My bank
wanted $30 to transfer the payment electronically, with no way to retreive the
funds if the routing numbers I gave them were incorrect or they typed them in
wrong.  I wound up mailing cash.  On the other hand, I purchased some items
from Lithuania using PayPal.  One click...done.  I sell something to someone,
payment is recieved, usually within the hour, and the next day I ship.  I'm
happy not to have to keep track of dozens of orders for weeks, and the customer
is happy not to have to wait for his items.  That kind of convenience is well
worth the small fee
they charge.  What's the big deal?

I just ordered some equipment through Ebay.
Ebay would only take PayPal, with me giving their Pay Pal a credit card number
to make the transaction.
I phoned the dealer and made the transaction through them over the phone.
The dealer knew exactly why I could no longer use my credit card, the new Ebay
Pay Pal system..
I would imagine Ebay puts a charge on for using its services?
Frankly, this is very disturbing.

I've never been much of an Ebay person, only using it once in a while over the
years.
So, I guess it finishes me for Ebay, I'll make the phone calls!
Bill
