     This type of floor stock might make some sense.  I don't see paying large 
sums for 
regular, flat floor stock.  Anyone with a table saw or a radial arm saw can 
make this at 
home.  One problem with JC Models/Chester kits is that the truck openings in 
the skirts 
are too large.  This was probably done to allow for more truck swing.  I have 
cut off the 
center area and modeled later versions of the cars as a solution, but the 
option to have 
them would be nice.  My latest experiment is to clad the roof with plastic to 
help with 
"grain" problems and simulate roof seams.
