Sometimes I wonder if it would be easier to build the whole thing out
of styrene. How much of the wood kit do you actually use?

I've been building a Kinsman kit, and have found that I get the best
bond by first putting gap filling CA directly on the wood, waiting a
moment allowing it to "soak in," then putting the metal piece in
place, touching the joint with a wire dipped in CA, and holding the
part in place with finger pressure for 60 seconds.
