Hi, group:

I have some hard brass wire from Kemtron. (Anyone else remember Yavon?)
It will not bend -- it breaks instead. I take an AF 4B transformer, a
pair of alligator clip jumpers with 18 gauge wire and the brass. This
forms a circuit with the brass wire as the 'load'. Once the circuit
breaker pops, the wire is hot as can be. Once it cools, it can be used
without breaking.

I am down to about untreated 20 pieces of Kemtron wire.

I would GONG this one as hard as you could; I have never heard of such a
thing, and have been messing with track since 1949. Stretching is a
physical matter, electrical conductivity depends on the alloy makeup of
the metal--lower for steel, higher for copper, etc.
