I think you're putting too much emphasis on the 'scale' part of it.
You could order items from the Walthers catalogue and still wait many weeks
for it.
Being in North America, I can order items from a North American supply
(doesn't have to be trains), and wait and wait.
I've been waiting two months for a couple of DVDs. Does that mean I should
toss all my DVDs and go Blu-ray?
You just need to grin and bear it a little.
