Peter & Andre, I guess I am up to 6 of the SHS diesel switchers now. As a prototype I like the SW1 best. But my new NW2 with the Tsunami completely kills its earlier brethren. I hope the Tsunami can fit in my earlier switchers.
I was home yesterday. I can't quite say I was bored but thought how long it had been since I ran my NW2. Now, we are talking about under my Christmas tree with 14 pieces of SHS track as my EMPIRE. Yes, I only have 2 straights in this loop to keep the trains form getting stepped on.... at about 4:00 I fired it up just for a goof. The Tsunami is perfectly programmed. I heard it notch up and down just like I was standing trackside. The train now is almost a coupler to coupler circumference, but no matter. I went forward and reverse just to see and hear it run. It is sheer Mighty PRR perfection on 8 wheels. Don sent me the CV settings. (Would Atlas or Kato do that? Would you even know who to ASK?) I hope my other diesels will react just as perfectly. I have yet to play with the back EMF stuff. It looks intense in the manual.
