The irony is the NYC at one time controlled the C&O and the PRR controlled the N&W. If it wasn't for the I.C.C., they still might.
Every dog has his day; the worm turns, etc., etc. No doubt the day will come when some smart-aleck executives will decide there are tax advantages to resurrecting the NYC and the PRR, and leasing CSX and NS to them.
