Bob and Gang,
With gas likely to go up again as soon as the Arabs figure out how to squeeze
us, that will add to mounting costs for lodging. Whenever I have attended a
convention it has been near home, not more than a four-hour drive, or in a
location where a friend lived and was kind enough to let me board with him and
his wife. I am sure that those who organize the events are conscious of the
economy and do their best. It's just that we are indeed in tough economic
times now and probably will be for the next year or two at least. It's bad out
there.
