As Tom Baker commented, I have not (yet) offered any of my models with
anything other than scale parts. If someone wants to adapt hi-rail flanges
to my cars . and can get them to work . more power to them. However, as a
courtesy to some of my dealers, my upcoming GE 70-ton diesel will be offered
with hi-rail and scale wheels but only scale couplers. SHS makes this work
quite well; I see no reason why I can't do it too.

I'm not "caving" to hi-rail pressure; far from it. I get no pressure from
non-scalers to offer hi-rail wheels but if a model CAN accept such without
requiring a change to the truck or underframe design, and I can sell a few
more units by doing so, why not? Not a "can't beat 'em so join 'em"
mentality, just a business decision.
