Does this mean that I can refer individuals to the DesPlaines Valley
guys that have
imported brass models that either: For unknown reasons quit running, have
loose or
broken parts, were damaged in shipping, run but tend to derail, have incorrect
coupler
height, or need slight modifications to represent a different prototype. In
general what
would be the cost, or rate? What is really in demand is custom painting
services.
Do you or anybody on this list know of a really qualified custom painter
that will take
on work and have the work done in a reasonable amount of time for a reasonable
cost.
The question of course is what is reasonable when it comes to time, 3 months, 6
months,
9 months, or a year or more? What would, or should it cost to paint and s scale
model?
As an example how much should it cost to paint a "S" scale brass diesel
switcher like the
River Raisin 44 tonner in CB&Q colors?
Regarding costs, has anybody found a reliable person to install DCC in
their "S" scale
brass locomotives with sound. I know their was a couple of guys that were
doing it for
free. I think they are tied up right now though. How much should someone have
to pay
for this service? Fifty dollars a model, a hundred, a hundred fifty dollars???
