Jim,

LOL Thanks, as all good suggestions.

I thought the President would come and visit my town, the D&K RR town, as
usually with most natural disasters, the President always comes to consul
people and assure that there will be money for the rebuilding and replacement
of things.

But I guess he does not have to come by since I righted the cow back up and the
cow is fine now, stuck in time.

Mike

Mike: The Washington Post! I'm impressed. I think you should look into the
current technology used to earthquake-proof buildings. The footings are set
on
rollers that allow the earth to move under them without shaking the building
so
badly. Maybe you should drill out your cow footings (hooves) and put little
ball bearings in them. Youn might have to enlarge the hooves to achieve a
more
  workable mass...buy hey, you're already in hi-rail, aren't you?

  Cheers
  Jim

This is the second time my layout has made news in the newspaper, as a local
columnist for the Washington Post ran with my story about one of my S scale
cows
falling over during the Great Earthquake of 2010, Germantown, MD, as there
was
no reports of any damage, thankfully, anywhere in the papers. But something
did
happen, a cow fell over and has to be noted.

The first time something from the layout got into the papers and on the web,
as
when my painted Frosty Bar from the 1950s made it to the comic Zippy last
year.

And the layout isn't even done yet. LOL
