"I just got my NMRA Magazine (FKA Scale Rails, FKA The Bulletin) today, and
as usual there's a lot of good information, and a lot of just plain good
feeling from knowing I'm one of these guys, even if their trains are smaller
or bigger than mine.
There's a nice full-page picture of two men engaged in operating (not just
running) a layout, and a four page article about the layout and its
operation. The author is Dick Karnes and the layout of course is S scale.
There's absolutely no "My scale's better than yours," just good solid
information useful to modelers of any scale.
That's the kind of publicity we need.

Yea! Dick Karnes!
Another very good S Scale article in our National Model Railroad Association
monthly magazine.
Actually, when opening my mail I did not recognize the "Rag."
Sure 'nuff, it was the "Scale Rails" done over again and now called the
"NMRA Magazine."
Dick being the great writer, did an exemplary job on model railroad
operation, but mostly ( in my mind) it showed Dick's always excellent
modeling abilities and to how far he has come in detailing his layout. I
also like the S Scale logo on each image.
Those of you who no longer belong to the NMRA are missing out on great
opportunity in seeing what is going on in the model railroading world.
Also, helping in keeping a great organization of volunteers keeping our
industries in order though its standards.
My own personal choice for the font used for the logo would be definitely
different, but then no one is perfect!
Missing my model railroad vacation in Duluth, but then attending to Mary
after spending four days in the hospital this week.
Mary is now home and all is well that ends well!

Bill (Fraley)
