Good morning.
By now our first-class mail subscribers should have received their copy of the
Spring issue of the 1:64 Modeling Guide magazine. Our international and
standard-rate US readers should be getting theirs soon.
It's a great issue and I'm sure you will enjoy it. You'll notice that our
articles ran a little long this time. In fact, some things had to be left out.
An example of this is Phil Scandura's "Bridging the Local Creek" article.
Phil provided plans and a materials list for both the single-track and the
double-track trestle. There was only room in the magazine to publish the
double-track plan, so I decided to create a new button on the Website
(www.1-64ModelingGuide.com), called "Bonus Material." Here everyone will be
able to download the drawing and materials list (it's included on the drawing).
Other "overflow" and bonus material will be added in the future. You do not
have to be a subscriber to access this material (BTW: This is not the
forthcoming new product I've mentioned in other posts.).
After I figure out how to pay the printer and our contributors, and after I
send out renewal notices, I will be going on vacation for a week. Then it's
time to jump on the "real" summer issue.
Speaking of the summer issue: I would like for someone who attended the NASG
convention to write a short essay (not more than 1,200 words) about their
experience and impressions for our "From the Observation Lounge" column. Due
date is August 15. Any takers? Please let me know by 5 PM Friday. Thanks!
