Earlier I wrote that my knowledge on real trains is lacking a bit, as it
happens to be I am reading my first RR book, as normally I am reading about US
History or baseball.

http://www.amazon.com/Railroads-Triumphant-Rejection-Rebirth-American/dp/0195038533/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1281401251&sr=1-1

The above is the book I am reading as I am learning allot about the past, pre-
Acela. LOL

One thing I learned is how the refrigerator car came about. G. Swift of the
Swift meat company wanted to ship meat already "boxed" meaning already
slaughter and dressed at his plant and then ship the boxes off to distribution
centers. The RRs did not want to do as they made more money shipping live
animals to slaughter houses. So Swift made 10 refrigerator cars on his own.
