  Bob,  I once picked up a sheet of circular clear styrene "punch outs" in 
various diameters from Banta. Not sure if any of the sizes fit the side 
portholes, but some were large enough to fit in headlight openings.
   I know Bill Banta is out of producing S scale, but these are multi-scale.
   Another possibility is to use a piece of sharpened brass tubing to punch out 
your own. I thought of running a cone shaped abrasive bit into one end of the 
tubing to create a sharp edge in a perfect circle.
