TC, you are correct in that I should have been more precise in my
sentence structure. I was not implying that G was smaller than 1 just
that 1:32 was the smallest of the G gauges offered in the US G gauge
market.

I beg your pardon..
"G" is larger that #1 being #3, Morap calls these I scale and II
scale as they have dropped the old #2 scale.
The actual ratio is 1:22.5 and is a bit larger than #1.
TCC:}
BTW; Just for giggles if you use #3 gauge (2.5"/64mm) it scale out to
5' gauge in 1/2" scale. Just like #0 in 1/4" scale
The old #2 was 1:27 on 51mm gauge - think REA/Aristocraft
And #1 is 1:32 with a gauge of 1.75" or 51mm
And #0 is 1:45 or 1:43 with a gauge of 1.25" or 32mm
so H1 is our beloved "S" and H0 is half of 7mm scale while 00 is half
of 8mm scale

Scalextrics, at least the current products, are 1:32 scale. That makes
them Scale 1 for our European friends or the smaller G Scale for us.
