Hello . . . . . . . . . . I have some doubts about the scale fidelity of
American models products. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

Assuming you've decided on S as a modelling scale, if you want an RS3, ALCo
PA/PB, ALCo FA/FB, SD60 &c, American Models company products are your only
choice. They're not perfect, but they run well. Some of us use them as is,
others add or modify detail.

My main objective its to have ready to run (or kits eventually) train
running smooth and with suspension in locomotive and all wagons. The modern
train like CSX SD-60 pulling the AM Spinal cars, BTS 89' Flatcars and S
Scale America Huscky Stacks is what I´m thinking.

The modern era. A most interesting choice, but you'll find the choices
limited. Other than basic trailers on flat cars from AM & SHS, the AM spine
cars and SSA Husky Stacks are about all there are for S scale intermodal.
HO has a much wider selection of intermodal cars, many spine cars and many
double-stack cars.

- The SD60 (I see in AM site) has suspension, but its well detailed like the
Athearn, Atlas and PROTO 2000, counterparts?

Probably not as well, but BTS & SSA have detail parts to accomodate specific
road's prototypes.

- The BTS still offer the 89' flat car (whats the correct SHS trucks for
them?)?

If they're out of those kits, I know where some are. But I suggest you get
one only, first. Try it and see if you're satisfied. If so, get more.

- There´s a SHS locomotive or another maker in S scale with suspension?

SHS locos have equalized suspension and are excellent in detail and
operation.

- The railmaster hobbies (http://www.railmasterhobbies.com/loco.htm) offer a
version of RS-3, is a better aproach than AM?

Depends on whether you like to build kits.

. . . . . . . . . . . . .(how many cars were used on the Empire State
Express?)

A NYC aficionado (I wonder how you say that in Portugese) would have to
answer that.

I have see in the americanmodels site that the budd cars aren´t scale, so
Kaslo Shops will make the budd cars?

As of last week Kaslo claims to still be working on them, but it's been a
very long time. Don't expect anything in the nest 10-15 years.

Others will have to answer other questions.
