I updated my page for my H27 project. http://www.lanestrains.com/S_Scale_PRR_H27.htm I got most of the paint stripped off. I used Floquil primer AS primer for the first time in at least 15 years. It is a very good match for Oxide red for touch up. I am going to wait a few days for it to dry and wet sand the sides at least once. The car originally had a pretty heavy coat of paint on it that hid the splice seams really well. But they are back a little now... Some wet sanding and recoating should help out somewhat.
