I have often wondered why the NASG dispatch tries to compete with the
commercial press. I think four issues a year would be great. It might also
help with the financial issues the NASG is experiencing. Note, these issues
are not unique to the NASG, the board is doing a good job being financially
responsible. Postage and printing have become very expensive. Oops, should
this have been in some other yahoo group?

Turbines sounds..... interesting. Our buddy Ron of Des Plaines Hobby told me
an old Kirby vacuum cleaner would make a good stand in sound for the Turbines.
I guess you would need to use the blowing side of the Kirby not the sucking.

And if you needed to know, I was climbing in a tree to trim some branches that
were blocking sun from my garden. As I reached up to grab a hand hold where
the trunk formed a Y, I felt something mushy. It seems the squirrels were
settling into this little spot and using it for personal relief. As I climbed
higher, I came across another of these features in the tree and was more
careful. Good thing, it was filled like the other. I wonder if one was for
male squirrels and one for female? I couldn't tell, no pink TP in one or pink
towels. No copies of Play Squirrel in one and Better Nests and Oak trees in
the other. Perhaps one was for management squirrels and one for worker
squirrels. Now that I think about it, I am not absolutely sure it was squirrel
poop not being an expert in that sort of thing but then again, I don't know
what else could be responsible. In spite of this trauma, the branch was
trimmed and my garden will get more sun.

Finally, thanks Jim, I am hand laying a couple of short industrial spurs on the
Heartland and the video will assist me. I have copies some of the Lomax
recordings which I have used in American history. Using the recordings
requires prior explanation, some of the things the people being interviewed say
is no longer PC.

A complete report later
