Kemtron was on its way to produce a complete S scale kit for a brass Ma & Pa
2-8-0, but discontinued the effort sometime in the 1960s. (Not sure when owner
Levon Kamalyan died, but perhaps the project ended with his demise.) Anyhow,
the project peaked with the release of a complete tender kit plus many loco
parts -- smokebox, frame and spacers, cab, cylinder chest, domes, drivers,
other
detail parts.

Howard Sandusky rescued (bought out) some half-dead "S" projects in the
1960s-70s. He also carried a fair representation of products from other extant
lines, including S Scale Loco & Supply parts. I don't think he actually
manufactured anything, but I could be wrong about that.

At one time I had a lot of the Kemtron stuff. I still have the completed
tender, behind a camelback 0-6-0. A photo of my tender appears at:

http://www.nasg.org/databases/locomotives.php

Click on the "manufacturer" drop-down list and select "Kemtron," then click the
"submit query" button. The tender will pop up.
