I have used DCC for at least 7 years now. I don't see DCC going away as we have seen in evolution from the 8 track tape to the cassette and CD min the music industry were complete formats vanished. I don't think there is the prospective profit to cover the R & D and then the production and stocking of the "next best new thing" to the point that it would cause thousands to abandon their DCC systems to move to IT. But just perhaps it would cause Bob to finally move to DCC since it would be has been and not the latest and hottest.. Or he would finally perfect his DCC compatible string.
