Many of the Houston S Gaugers, will spend our Friday night and all of
Saturday setting up our modules at Texas City's' Mall of the Mainland.
I believe this is the third year we've done this project. Texas City is
one of the industrial/refinery towns in the Houston Metro area and is
located just across the causeway from Galveston. The city was first
made famous during W.W.II when a ship carrying fertilizer exploded
sending very large parts of the ship over the area not to mention many
people. The city frequently has refinery explosions and fires, the
occasional hurricane (Ike most recently) and a seemingly continuous poor
economic outlook.

However, we enjoy the respectful people and a chance to run our trains
again for the public.

And BTW, if any of you are in the neighborhood, we'll leave Houston a 6
am and start setting up at 7!! and this bunch of old gray haired S
freaks can use all the help we can get!
