It was so neat to see Bill's ( Lane) Reading I10sa running so smoothly, a
real beautiful Lehigh Valley kit put together and sold by Frank Titman in
the 1970 -early 1980's. I don't know how many of these locomotive kits Frank
sold, but I was fortunate enough to buy one of the last ones in December
1982. (A Christmas Gift from Mary.)

At one of our LVSG meet's back then, we ran five of them. We were so
thrilled to see them hauling long coal trains and you could never, ever, get
the smile off of Frank's face. He said to several of us, "See, I told you
could build one!". WOW! I'll never forget the satisfaction that came from my
building that locomotive and Tender. All the brass, wood and plastic parts,
. it sure looked scary to me. Franks drawing's and instruction's made it
rather easy to build.

It did take a First Place Steam Locomotive, Master category, at one of NASG
conventions back then.

My Reading I10sa has been sitting in the Jefferson Central Engine house for
years. Yes, it still runs pretty well, but I must admit, not as nice as Bill
Lanes. I do have a problem with the one eccentric staying tight, other than
that, all is well. I'll have to check it out and give it a try.

Thanks again Bill, your clip shows the genius of Frank Titman and how most
of us old timers built our equipment back in the "Olde" S scale days.

I was very happy to share a day with Frank (Titman) when we went to the SJSS
"Get-Together" last month. Frank seems to be very happy with his life, but
doesn't do much model railroading any more, other than his regular Monday
night Spiral Hill operating sessions with Bert and Barry and whoever else
shows up. (Frank does have the cards set up for operation.)

Wishing You a happy Day,

 Bill (Fraley)
