Probably the same. That one gear on the RS-2 is the only one that gave me a 
problem, though. The ALCO MODELS units weren't too bad when they were new, but 
developed "coffee grinder" sounds as time went on. The best thing I did was 
replace the metal universal shafts with those once made by Hobbytown (available 
from Micro-Mark). They run extremely well, now. I'm amazed at how much noise 
the original universal shafts caused! I believe that mounting the motors on 
miniature model airplane rubber grommets should get virtually all noise out of 
the drive train, but I haven't had time to try it and find out.
