I did a quick search for the start date of the PRR & the start date of Penn Central. That is about as far as I got.
A now deceased friend went on the last GG1 trip. I don't remember if he asked if I wanted to go. It was not as significant then as it would be to me now. Just after this event he bought a new fangled $2200.00 "portable" VCR and the separate camera. Camcorders did not come out for a few more years. It would have been nice to see some video of that day.
