The framless (Gramps) "Van Dyke" tank car kits produced by PBL are essentially
1908-1910 standard gauge cars mounted on narrow gauge trucks. They were used
through WWII but quickly disappeared from mainline service after that due to
difficulties in upgrading their brakes to the AB system.
