Surely NOT 'S' for secret, Ed We are trying to PROMOTE S-scale. I thought S stood for STANDARD but that would only encourage the PRR guys who actually believe that PRR was the "Standard for the World". I think S stands for SUPER though my wife thinks it stands for SAD but I don't take any notice of that.
Good luck Michael and enjoy the IDEAL size. My name is Michael Starkey and I'm a new member living in Boise. I enjoy the Southern Pacific as well as western shortline and logging railroads. No big layout plans yet, but I'm hoping to build a small switching puzzle with an SP theme. I've really enjoyed the pictures of Bob's SP models built from Smokey Mountain kits, and Peter's Model Railroading blog, with useful information and illustrations. Thanks also to Ed L., for his tireless promotion of all things "S".
