Ed,

Fortunate indeed that there are no S-scale streakers. Way too much exposure
for mortals to endure.

'Tis true that the S guys usually show up to look over the layout, but there
are many many more O guys visiting here. They come from all over -- Europe,
Japan, east coast, local, midwest, Canada, etc. Sunny California sunshine and
train layouts in Janurary are a great magnet for those in the colder climes.

I'd estimate maybe about 150-200 each year come streaming (not streaking)
through to see what S is all about (newbies) or to see what is new since last
year (oldies). Many of the O guys are amazed to see how much layout is
possible in a given space compared to O scale. Just like the HO guys, they say
things like, "If only I didn't have so much O equipment."

Reminds me of Jace Kahn. But he will come along.....just needs a bit more
time. It will happen.

"S"miles....Ed L.
