Wes, According to the American Railway Engineering and Maintenance-of-way Association (AREMA) the radius of a number 6 Turnout is 258.57-ft. This would scale out to be about 48" in S-scale. A no. 8 Turnout's radius is 487.28 which scales out to be slightly more than 91".
