Brooks,  I don't know whether or not to recommend the G-12 if your a 
Nikon guy.  I tried both in the camera store and was much more 
comfortable with the Nikon P-7000 except it didn't have the movable 
viewing screen.  Also the Nikon was a few dollars cheaper.  I assume 
both will be obsolete in a year or so.

I've had most success with the camera totally set on manual so far.  
I've always hated it when it won't let you do something in one mode but 
it's totally okay in another.  I feel the camera should take 
instructions rather than give them!  I'm da boss!

Anyway I've uploaded another shot 
(http://groups.yahoo.com/group/S-Scale/photos/album/411100020/pic/) made 
in a telephoto position and up close.  I guess it worked out okay also, 
but please ignore the warped urethane 'planking' those guys are standing 
on.  I didn't think it looked that bad until seeing the shot.  I do 
think half the time photos will make you a better modeler by showing all 
the faults that need correcting--if we live long enough!
