Thanks for that information, by all means, still wrap the items with something, first, then, the peanuts.

I used to buy and sell a lot of high end audio and, if an item was shipped with peanuts, you could guarantee damage. The best I have found is large bubble wrap wrapped around the item to fit in the shipping box with extra attention to corners. There is actually a shipping forum at Audiokarma: http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=87 Obviously geared toward larger audio items, but still a lot of info there useable by model railroaders as well. --- In mailto:S-Scale%40yahoogroups.com, "Michael & Linda Marmer" <mlmar...@...> wrote: > > Linda heard on the news today that peanuts that we all get in some boxes are > the best thing to use when shipping goods. > > They protect better then newspaper, bubble wrap, according to the news report. > > Just thought I would pass this along, as I know we all have preferences. > > Mike Marmer > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] ------------------------------------ Yahoo!
