That is why Baker and Devore couplers we invented. They tend to work
flawlessly with steel wheels and such. That is also why Mr.Fenton never changed
over from Bakers to Kadee magnetic couplers on John Allens original time save
modules. The other reason of course was to keep it as original as possilbe,
even the black char marks from the fire at John Allens. Those char marks were
very evident when Mr. Fenton brought the Timesaver to the S Scale meet at Joe
Visitines place.
I also have one of those big ideas about building a timesaver style module
and I plan on using Baker couplers, along with Kinsman, Perma-Built, Wisconsin
Central, Mid Gauge, Rex, etc. I think I'll make it a drop down affair from my
living room ceiling and that way it will also be a walk around.
