Drive-in Movies as a backdrop. One way you might model a drive-in theater
and save space is to model only the ticket entrance booth and the back of
the screen as a 3-d flat on the backdrop. Usually the Drive-In name was
prominent here - Route 66 Drive-In or such.

The screen would only have to have a few angled support brackets sticking
out from the screen - sort of a reverse billboard look. I would angle
slightly and try to find or paint a backdrop showing the cars, posts,
concession stand. This would give the atmosphere you want, save space, and
there would be no need for a moving picture. How many of you remember
miniature train rides and playgrounds as part of the Drive-In theater
complex.
