Actually, the selector position is all wired so all anybody would have to do is 
connect any throttle to it. It is, however, set up for common rail operation 
with the other selector positions. I don't know how that would affect DCC 
electronics, but without actually trying it I believe a DCC system should work 
in common with DC throttles. Those more versed in these things may wish to 
provide further input. 

One of the things I did as I built the layout was break up the common rail with 
insulated rail joiners and connect the blocks via a common ground wire. I did 
this for two reasons. One was to minimize voltage drop in the common rail, and 
the other was to make it easier to track down the source of short circuits. The 
biggest problem I've had in that regard is when the non-insulated wheels on a 
metal truck, such as passenger car trucks bridge an insulated joint on two 
blocks powered by different throttles.
