Come one, Bob!  Not to be coy, but you surely know that anything is "worth" 
only what someone else is willing to pay for it.
And that comes and goes as the market for any given thing fluctuates.
You could ask for offers, deciding what you have invested/need to get as a 
reserve, and let bidders tell you.  Or pay ebay
a commission to do the same thing.

Perhaps as a reference point, I've bought two Miller Alco S-4's with the 
Cascade repower drive; one, with brass sideframes, cost
me $75; the second, with white-metal ones, was a good deal at $40 (and some 
sweat-equity).   Of course, those who've been
in  S scale a lot longer than I have may give you a better idea of the range 
they've seen.
