Dick,
I really enjoyed your comments. I rarely build a structure kit as it is
intended, I will post photos of my current project this weekend. To your
point, building this scenic viewblock has been difficult. I have a number of
photos of prototype areas that give the feel I want and I have great "raw
materials" in the ImagineThat pieces. Still, I need to make changes such as
foundation heights, doors in different places, header detail and modifications
to support the layout of my tracks. I make drawings and do mock ups using the
building components, foamcore and anything else I can find. I have the benefit
of the PPSSW guys dropping by to make comments and suggestions. I enjoy seeing
photos of projects and layouts as they give me ideas and support my efforts.
Bob, true a laser house or small building such as BTS or Bar Mills are tougher
to kitbash as are the resin kits so I avoid them unless they exactly fit my
needs I have done modification with Pine Canyon buildings with good success.
Like I said, i will post a phot or two this weekend.
