How apropos. I am "motorizing" my first turnouts now. I fell into a group of Hankscraft stall motors for a **very** reasonable price. ALL of my turnouts are going to be powered. Since the layout is going to be about 55" high it keeps hands of vertically challenged friends from having to reach in to throw turnouts. As long as there are existing solutions to powering S turnouts I find it difficult to believe the always elusive "someone" will rise from obscurity waving his checking to fix the latest topic Du Jour... Further, I have long term plans of replacing the NJ twin coils with the Hankscraft motors on my old yard module. That will make it more usable and possibly want me to take it back on the road again it I don't incorporate it into my home layout.
