Haven't used Testor's in years (and NEVER the tube crap from our misspent
youths). The most workmanlike is Tenax, which goes into the joint
by capillary action and leaves no trace on the surface; I also like the Ambroid
ProWeld, which will do ABS as well as styrene, and for economy
I bought a quart of MEK at a paint store a couple of years ago and haven't used
a half a pint of it yet; I fill individual empty Tenax bottles from
the quart can. It is cheap and works quite well for almost all applications,
although for fairly delicate castings, I recommend Tenax--which also
works very quickly.
