There used to be a small kit manufacturer, who used to be located about
100 foot from my new studio. They called themselves Crummy Products and
they made kits mostly for the O narrow gauge folks but also a few S
kits--most involving plaster.
A bunch of us were invited over one night to actually use their molds to
learn about plaster castings. They stated that they used S scale
Holgate & Reynolds brick for their O scale brickwork. They said,
because of the compression needed in O, the S brick pattern was more
believable. So even if the kit might be specified a certain scale--it
might be different.
