Ken and I have some of the same problems--way too many things going on
that it really takes a lot of effort to actually complete something.

When I constructed my RR room I opted for 8' tubes. I put in two double
fixtures flush with the ceiling. It didn't take long to discover that I
needed a third fixture. So I took my punishment, built a scaffold cut
into the ceiling and installed a third fixture. Now after another 20
years or so, I wish I would have put in another 4 fixtures mainly to
light the room edges. I have 10' ceiling in much of the room so the
intensity of the light falls off a bit compared to a typical home or
office setting even though the lighting is a bit more even. I also
installed track lighting in the initial construction. I pretty much use
that for open house and localized construction. The downside of the
track lighting is the heat and extra cost of running those lights. I'll
gradually replace those bulbs with CFL as those floods burn out, but I
have yet to have one go down--humm!
