Good evening. Only a few days remain before the Standard Rate subscription
price for the 1:64 Modeling Guide magazine increases from $27.95 to $30.95. If
your subscription expired with Volume 11, #3 or will expire with the next issue
(Volume 11, #4), please send in your renewal ASAP, if you haven't already done
so, to avoid the increase (for a year). Thank you to those who have sent in
their renewals. If you're not a current subscriber, go to
www.1-64ModelingGuide.com to sign up, or get a check or money order in the mail
postmarked before April 1!
As a reminder, the cover price of the magazine will increase to $7.95, also
effective April 1. In addition, the 1/2-year (2 issue) subscription is being
eliminated.
There will be no price increase for 1st Class USA, Canadian or International
subscriptions.
After a lot of thought, I have decided that the auto-renewal feature for
subscriptions via PayPal will be dropped for all new subscriptions received on
or after April 1, 2011. Even though it plainly states that at the time of
signing up that renewals will be auto-renewing, there have been too many
complaints and too many hassles to make this worthwhile.
I want to make a point about the auto-renewal feature. I set the subscriptions
up that way, not to save money (it's cheaper to invoice through the mail and I
"eat" all the PayPal fees on online subscriptions and back issue sales, BTW).
I did it for convenience (mine) and to even out revenue receipts, thus helping
to improve cash flow. So much for that!
While I'm on the topic of online renewals, if your bank or credit card info has
changed you need to let PayPal know, otherwise the renewal charge will not go
through. PayPal's message to me is that a subscriber has canceled their
subscription.
Oh, and one last thing regarding PayPal: You do NOT have to have an account
with them to pay via credit card!! I have reviewed the process a number of
times and it seems pretty straightforward to me, so I don't know what the issue
is there.
