I have been putting air hoses, cut levers, and draft gear on my freight cars for 10+ years now. http://www.lanestrains.com/My_Models.htm Every brass freight car I have completed for me in that time has gotten this treatment. I have even put air hoses on some American Flyer converts. I cut the wires off my couplers. The cut levers are put bent phosphor bronze wire. The look is much improved. I first saw the rubber air hoses in O Scale about a year ago when a friend sent me some. I have yet to figure out how to solder them to my brass cars so I will stick with the tried and true BTS air hose kits.
